Search Engine Optimization is basically a fancy way to say 'Doing things to improve your website's rank with the search engines'.  The high-level way to describe what SEO includes, is On-page vs Off-page optimization. 
On-Page= things that you do to the pages on your website (such as Title, Meta Tags and Visible Copy)
Off-Page= things that you do externally to your website pages (in-bound links, local listings, etc)

There are several things we will do up-front to optimize your site, and a few other specific items we can work on over time to keep you ranking well in the future.  To best understand Search Engine Optimization, it's important that you remember the following five things:

1. If it sounds 'To Good to be True' it is.  There are many SEO scams out there.  If someone tells you they can guarantee you in first position in a matter of days..it's not true.  Optimization is a process, and it takes time.  It's like the stock-market..you do it for the long-term benefits.
2. Patience is Key.  'Slow and Steady Wins the Race'.  It may take several weeks or even months before some engines locate your site.  Remember, SEO is about building your website's credibility.  Trust isn't earned overnight. 
3.  There is No One Huge Thing You Can Do Right Away.  No single tactic will materially improve your chances of moving up quickly with the search engines.  There are a number of little things that, when combined, can have a dramatic effect on your ranking (depending on your niche and your competition)
4. Do not Overfocus on SEO.  Work with Markomm to apply the basics and forget the rest.  If you concentrate on offering valuable products, services and great information, the rest will fall in line with your online advertising methods like PPC and Maps.

Objective
Significantly improve the SEO ranking for your site- which will ultimately increase web site traffic, leads, and revenue. Markomm’s SEO program will improve ranking in major search engines such as Google, Yahoo!, Bing, and more on competitive keywords and keyword phrases related to your unique business and current market.

Project Implementation
MarKomm’s program focuses on targeting a list of primary search terms. Our focus is to ensure these terms appear on the first page of search results within your targeted area. However, because of the nature of SEO many other search terms will likely begin to also receive favorable ranking.  Please note, the optimization process is not an 'overnight' development. The process we will implement is as follows:

Step 1: Research & Strategic Planning

• Keywords – MarKomm will use tools to conduct Keyword analysis for the purpose of successful relevant search engine placement. We will also document these terms and create a monthly report template for the purpose of tracking targeted Keyword ranking success for client across all major search engines.
• Competitor Research – MarKomm will locate key competitor websites on major search engines and run a complete analysis report on these competitors in the top 20 ranks in Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc. for the purpose of knowing what the competition are doing for the benefit and future success of your online business.
• Target Audience Review – MarKomm will conduct a complete analysis of the Target Audience of your website for the purpose of obtaining positive results in search engine placement. We will monitor tracking analytics software to further record the behavior of the current Target Audience of your online business.

Step 2: On-Site Optimization – becoming “Search Engine Friendly”

• MarKomm will make recommendations and consult with client’s webmaster to update keyword text, header tags, alt tags, keyword hyperlinks, etc. for maximum optimization.
• MarKomm will make recommendations to client concerning specific content changes to improve Keyword relevance on pages as well as adding new SEO friendly pages.

Step 3: Off-Site Optimization – becoming a site that “Gets Noticed”

• MarKomm will implement an extensive link-popularity campaign to improve your website visibility and ranking analysis among search engines.

Step 4: Monthly Reporting – the following reports will be provided monthly:

• Search Engine Rank Report - This will show the progress of the client’s search engine ranks for keyword terms selected.
